The major transport in the Municipality is the motor transport. 
The road network is completely built. Approximately 90% of the roads are with asphalt cover.

The overall length of the fourth class roads is 117 km. The length of the first class roads is 1.8 km (section of the international road E79), of the second class roads - 34 km and third class roads - 73 km. The density of the road network in the Municipality is over the middle for the country (0.33 km for square km - a little bit under the middle for EU) which is very important for the economic development.

Vratsa also has a well developed trolley bus transport which was established in 1990. There are 6 trolley bus lines with total length of 42,5 km. The number of passengers who use its services ranges between 4 and 7 millions per year.
